The Beast In You

I walk the beaten path once more,
My mind is weary, and my heart is torn.
my eyes are focused, my spirit ready to fight.
How many chances to turn wrong to right.
night is falling, but not yet night,
I’ve given one’s chances, they still won’t go right.

You made this force, the beast must be slain,
There is no peace, if fear is allowed to reign.
I look in the shadows, for the evil that lurks,
It has a pretty face, but hiding it’s smirks.
Something is different, Something has changed,
I’m no longer me, I’m here to slay the thing.

There is no Love, when vengeance is thirst,
humanity is flawed, and causes mistrust.
I hunger for peace, so present the feast,
My knives are sharpened, I’ll behead the beast.
When the beast is slain, peace will reign.
